My laptop has a webcam installed in it and I would like to talk to my brother online. Any free way to do this?

Msn, Skype, Eyeball Chat and loads of other programs will do it for free.
Virtually any up to date messenger program lets you do this. Skype is one of the best known.

went on msn messenger lastnight and no webcam icon there to do it
You don't need a phone, you will need a microphone on your laptop (if it has a webcam it will almost certainly have a mic) but headsets are better

update your MSN, you should then be able to video call on it when hes online.
I spoke to him sunday that way using my laptop. You dont need a phone, just PC on internet.
you could also use Skype, ive just installed it on mine.
btw his webcam isnt working well at mo, couldnt really hear him so he had to type lol. But got to see our lovely nephew x
Make sure you both have the latest version of messenger installed.

yer thats why he wanted me to do it redcrx after speaking to you. We tried lastnight, he came online but then he couldnt see any webcam icon to invite me
have you tested your webcam?
Definitely in the latest version of MS Messenger (Windows Live Messenger?).

You both need a net connection and the same version of whatever program you want to use makes things easier, but you don't need a phone line.

all I've ever been able to do is take a pic on webcam. I dont know where I find setting for it or anything
In Windows Live Messenger, the menu bar is hidden by default. Click the down arrow next to the "help" ? and select "Show the menu bar". Then go to Tools>Audio and Video setup and follow the wizard through. (Make sure your webcam and microphone are on and connected first!)
