I have an ipad with 3G service.
Gave service provider 02 a 1 month trial and they under performed.
So next gave vodafone a chance.
Just got my first bill , that should have been £10 inc VAT for 1GB of data usage per month.
Found they had charged me an extra £1.63 for data ....
Called them and they told me the charge was for text messages sent from the ipad.
But the ipad cant send text messages ...they insisted it was to a service called "Breaking News" ....
Well the only thing on the ipad that would end a text , would be a rouge application and they are all vetted via apple !!!!
After a second call to vodafone to tell them to block all text messages to and from the ipad and calls , it also cant be used to make ..they admited the number they gave me was a recycled one !!!! and the service was from the previous user ...
They ave now refunded my £1.63 and the £1.12 on the current bill ....
WARNING AVOID VODFONE ....
Will cancel service at the end of month and give 3 a try ....
My company phone is with vodafone and I run up a bill of £350 last month while in Geneva ...will also cancel that at end of contract ....

Vodafone are such rubbish ....
I will visit a store Tuesday and for fun be very loud in front of new customers on how they recycle numbers and ask for a new number that has never been used.
Anyway got my £1.63 refunded and £1.12 that is on the next bill for the service. That they cant refund yet , until the new bill is issued next month ...rubbish ain't they !
Also tried to set up an online account and it said locked out ..she had to delete the account and recreate it ...now she says it will not create a new account for 24 hours ....rubbish aint they ....will mention all this on my visit to a vodafone shop Tuesday ...lol
