what is the best sort of equipment to upload music onto you tube ie : if i was to produce a music mix in my home then upload it onto you tube.
some of the stuff i listen to on there sounds tinny,,and yet some sounds brilliant and crystal clear

Also be wary of copyright infringements. I had a mix of Beyonce's Crazy in Love removed because the record company didn't want it on youtube. However, The Saturday's liked my remix of "Up" and said it could stay, so it's very hit and miss.

Try to aim for 192kbps for the best quality on youtube. If it sounds tinny on your computer, it will sound tinny on youtube.

squarebear-i will be doing a mix on my turntables but want to record myself doing the mixing and then upload it onto you tube.
i can record this on my computer but worried about it not sounding right.thanks
Forget about youtube. You need to get it sounding good on your PC first. If it sounds good there, it will be ok on youtube.

Youtube is just a storage area for videos, if a video sounds rubbish on youtube it's because the video sounded rubbish before it was uploaded to youtube.
