Have you got lots of videos on your hard drive?
How big is your hard drive?
Have you got a D drive? If so, how much space is on that?
Not really, if you`ve removed everything you can, including any large files you no longer need.
I format the drive and reinstall quite regularly, as Windows files build up to an amazing amount.
It`s a fresh start and computer runs like new.
What size disk have you got?
Do you have some previous restore point back ups you could remove?
Could you move any music/films/pictures onto a cheap memory stick?

Disabling the hibernate function can save space. Saved me 1gb. When specifing search, select any large files say more than 500000k (this is about 500mb)

Don't format the drive .. or you will have nothing.
ontrol Panel/Power Options/Hibernation .. switch off.

Go into System Restore and reduce the space allocated to about 8-10% Control Panel/System/System Restore

Sorry for late reply re o/p's question on hibernate. In XP, it's start, settings, control panel, power options and finally the hibernate tab.
