MSN Messenger Webcan / video problems

Hi
I have msn Messenger and bought a microsoft webcam... when i try to connent (video call), I can hear my friend, but not see them or myself. They can see and hear me though sound can be intermittent. I have another fiend which seems to work and we can see each other and ourselves... HELP please.
