It might have been more sensible to ask this before buying one, especially as the main problem with them is the lack of decent coverage in some areas and checking the coverage for each supplier for where you want it to work would have been a good plan.
I have an O2 dongle which I use solely in the UK and have had no problems with it here. It costs £15 per month, which is half the price of my daily newspaper. My only complaint is that it is not strictly speaking PAYG as at the end of the month I still have half my data allowance available which is automatically lost after 30 days from purchase.
Hi hardy, you need to be very careful using a dongle abroad - that man who was stranded at an airport in Spain for 3 weeks and used his dongle to keep in touch ran up a bill of £3000 for internet usage. Most locations have internet cafés or you might have web access in your resort - much more cost effective to do it that way. With PAYG dongles you might find yourself having to top up almost every time you use it.
Parents have a "3" dongle. Bought it last January for £80. That's great value as they just use it for casual surfing and looking at newspaper websites.
i have a 3gb spanish dongle(call them modems here) and its quite slow, wonder if it worth paying little extra a getting a 5gb, or is much of a muchness?
