One year ago today that Whiffey passed. I remember because I flew to Spain that day with my mum and Nan. Bless him, he's still very much missed.

Indeed.

I remember his daughter making the post late at night, but I was too far gone on Vino to take it in. I remember logging on the following morning and I was in complete shock.
i remember reading the thread saying he had passed away..a year already??..he is still missed....
I still reckon he's taken up residence in Cat Deeleys dressing room...

RIP Whiffey...
It was a terrible shock NoM I rememember Laura posting-no-one could quite believe it -sadly true :(
Question Author
Quite possibly, Ummmm.

I literally lost count of the times he made me wet my pants with laughter.
He was brilliant and very intelligent. He was just as witty in real life as well.
Question Author
What sort of accent did he have?
Not dissimilar to yours. A bit posher maybe and softly spoken.
Really? I thought it was longer
Golly, it doesn't seem like a year.
he made me laugh on this site , like no other, and was so sad when i returned he wasnt around, truthfully i expected him to have a new name and still being wicked, he was very good at spotting the numpties.
I miss him too :o(

I wonder how long he would have stayed here under the new regime - do you think he would have managed to stay unbanned? Not that he was nasty or anything, he was just such a wind up merchant that he would be bound to fall from grace occasionally!
there was no one like whiffey, he could be a pure joy to read and really laugh out loud funny, I still miss him RIP whiffs x
i missed this thread yesterday, i miss him a great deal. very sad.

I really wish I'd got to give him my mother's chilli sauce recipe. I did promise to. :-(
I liked whiffey, we were in email contact as I knew his father who worked as a Haematologist at the London Hospital.

I don´t miss him as I wouldn´t any other ABer that I had never met.

Whiffey could also dish out the "tongue lashing" when need be.
Question Author
Didn't Whiffey follow in his father's footsteps?!?!
Unbelievable a year went by so quickly. I miss him also. He was such a wind-up merchant. LOL
Here's a taste of Whiffey to reminisce on -
