Outlook 2003 reveal codes

I don't know why but reveal codes are appearing in every e-mail message. I've gone into Word and tried to change this, to no effect. Help!!

Not clear why you would go into MS Word to change the settings in Outlook.

Well, I gather that it's to do with using Word as the e-mail editor! Hope that clarifies!

In Outlook 2003, On the Standard toolbar, click Show/Hide Paragraph mark (backward P)

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to do it! Each new message has these marks....
