Maybe get yourself another SIM card Rainbow. You'll have to give everyone your new number but it might be worth the few pounds and hassle if this person is getting abusive and upsetting you so much.

Not sure how accurate it is but this suggests an Ilford location...

You could try some dissuasive techniques like blowing a whistle down the phone.

Its mostly text messages, then they tried to ring using 'private number' I have reported it to my service provider but they cant block it or do anything. Thanks Jenna but that link came up with a lot of chinese writing lol ??
we'll all ring it withholding our number and shout 'swizzlesticks' down the phone at them, that'll show em.
how do you know it was the same number ringing using private number? and what do you mean they tried? if you didn's answer it you don't know it was them
You can take your mobile number from supplier to supplier so it may not be Virgin.
As a private individual I'd be surprised if you could trace the call. But I'd think you could report nuisance calls to the cops.

Sounds a poor show if your supplier can't block the calls. Would have thought that was a standard feature of telephony control equipment. One lives & learns.
This happened to me and I had to change my number so I suggest you do and you will need to tell your contacts. That should stop the nuisance calls, unless they are being made by someone you know.

The first text i received from this number simply read 'ring me' to which I replied I dont phone numbers I dont know and it has continued from a simple 'hi' to blank messages...then when I asked who is was, they said it was their 8 year old messing with their phone...and I asked how come they got my number, then it has escalated...just had another 'private number' call me...grrr...i thought it was a hoax at first..so i dared not ring it back.
Turn your phone off. They will get bored...
name the contact 'ignore' & dont answer. Switch off voicemail as you dont wanna pay to receive abuse
Ring them up each night at 3am for a few weeks. That should stop it.
Trouble is, you answered the first one with your reply text - I would have ignored it, I don't respond to any numbers I don't recognise, text or phone. It's like spam emails, you just ignore and delete them. Now they know there is a real person there and they are getting a response from you, someone's having "fun". Just ignore it. Don't answer calls, don't respond to texts, just delete them immediately. They'll get fed up if yu don't respond.
It doesn't come up with anything for the number which is calling you, but this is quite a useful site for identifying spam phone calls etc. http://whocallsme.com/
Read a couple of verses from The Bible every time they ring, I do that with people whom try to sell me something or other. They soon give up.
If 1000 of us send a text at exactly the same time, we can bomb them off. A Text bomb can work.
Take the phone to the local police station and show them the text messages you have been getting, explain the whole situation and they should offer advice on how to get it stopped. You may have to still get a new SIM card though. The police will have powers to request the name and address of the idiot who is phoning you from the provider, they will be able to do absolutely nothing though if it is an unregistered pay as you go mobile.
I like Albags idea!
If we take up AlBags idea don't forget to put 141 in front of the number otherwise the offender will have your number to hassle you as well - not a good idea.
make a silent voice recording , name the person and use the voice recording for the message and ringtone , they will get bored with it are you on virgin/ if not don't worry about it they will be getting charged not you , when they phone answer it but don't speak and leave phone to one side , just a few idea , hope things get better
