Is there a finite number or capacity for e-mail addresses?   I've lost count of the number I've banned from my inbox - it's approaching tens of 1,000's.   What I really mean is will there come a day when spammers have used every variation or available capacity?

Good question and I'm sorry I don't have an answer.

I have a similar problem in that I'm being inundated with e-mails usually from medical or porn sites that aren't even addressed to me.

I ban them all but still it goes on.  It seems to get worse after talking on Messenger to a contact in Canada but I can't prove this.  Any advice or help most welcome.

Yes, there is only a finite number of email addresses but with new Top Level Domains being added (like .info, .biz etc) then this extends the number of permutations by a large factor.

Although it is definitely finite, the number of possible addresses easily goes into the gazillion billions (if there is such a number).
why not try a spam blocker prog. I use mailwasher, its free! and you configure it to what you want,no more spam, great. There are other progs out there as well.cheers
Thanks for that warthog.   I've taken your advice and downloaded mailwasher.  Hope it works!  3 stars in advance.
