How much is Macromedia Flash, is there a cheaper option, and do you have to register flash? Can you still use obsolete version?

If your talking about the player then yes that's free. But if your talking about the software to create flash the It's actually a fair amount of money. The current version is �449 (basic version).

With many of this sort of thing anything you produce in an earlier version will run in the current versions but it might be a little more difficult to do things.
