IFO to MP4

What is the best software to convert IFO files to MP4? I have converted an old DVD that I made years ago, a slide show set to music ,and my wife would like it on her iPad. The only way I have successfully managed to convert it is by making it into an IFO file. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thank you
