I have a new laptop with Windows 7 installed. ,I have been just browsing around to see whats installed and there is a program that keeps asking for me to enter a product code.

This can be found in the Windows 7 pack you got with you're laptop - it's usually on the inside cover and you might have to scratch it off. typing this in will mean you're computer is running 'genuine' Windows which mean you have actually bought the copy of Windows and you've not got a pirate copy off someone.
