HDVD to BLU RAY

I have Sky HD box with HD tv and HD recorder, and I often record series of any thing between 8 and 14 episodes, These are then transferred to HD recorder, edited and transferred co DVD's.
If i get a BLU RAY HD recorder would it be possible to edit and transfer a complete series to 1 BLU ray disc?
