mini notebooks

Hi all.
I asked last week about mini notebooks, and I now feel that the time is right to go and have peek at some of them. I'm no good going on line, so will go to my local Curry or Comet store.
my computer is a dell, and should I look for the same when looking for a notebook.?
its for basic email, AB, facebook , skype etc
I wouldnt go for anything smaller than a 10" screen. replies appreciated

Samsung and Acer both have excellent reviews for their netbooks.
I particularly like the keyboard on my Samsung.

and work out whats best for me. I'm absolutely new to notebooks, so dont want to buy the wrong thing.

You shouldn't need a dongle for wifi, only for mobile broadband, which is another kettle of fish.

I strongly suspect that you're not "daft as a brush" in the slightest, but simply that you know next to nothing about computers - the two really are not the same thing.

I've never understood why people who aren't IT literate find it so amusing...

once I'm actually shown something, I'm ok, but I'm no good looking up technology.

I have just looked over the previous posts, and realised that you called the notebook (netbooks) Are they very similar or the same thing. ?

once I have bought a notebook, what step would I take to connect my yahoo internet stuff to the notebook? I have no idea, and hope the shop can give me the right instruction how to go about it. I am clueless.
What do i need to buy, and must make sure it can pick up skype with a built in webcam?
maybe a stupid question to you, but not to me , lol
