In the previous question -  "underscore" - I notice that stevie21 has managed to link a web page to the word "underline" (so that the page opens if you click the word).  How do you do this - do you type in the HTML?  How do I link this photo of my brother's dog to, for example, the word "nuisance"?  http://tinyurl.com/5ogeo

Well there are a couple of commands depending what engine the forum uses.  This is usually [ then url=webaddress then /]blah blah blah what text you want displayed then [/ followed by url & ]  Obviously you take the thens  and & otherwise it will link to it!

nuisance

doh

nuisance

if this doesn't work then it uses a different command:

<a target='_blank' href=http://tinyurl.com/5ogeo/">nuisance</a>

LOL  Wish the url was easier to type!!

<a target='_blank' href="" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/5ogeo/">nuisance</a>

I give up! ;)
I had just asked a very similar ? a few days ago, the way you can do this is to paste the link into your post, press enter, highlight the link, type whatever you want in place of it. After highlighting the link do not delete it, just type over it.

Many thanks Kebab and peanut.

I will see if it works for me, now...

Seth and duck.

 - Yay!

I'm with peanut - I stole someone else's idea in an earlier thread (which I now can't find or link to). When using Internet Explorer just paste the link into your answer, it should immediately turn blue. Highlight this text and type whichever word or phrase you want to appear as the link over it and this word should also be blue.
Testing;
bllx. I can't do it.  boo!

post this into your post...but first change the ? to =    and yhe name and url to your choice...
