is there any software that will sort out old hardware an make it work with modern computers?

im getting sick of plugging things into it a having it refuse to read them

stuff like a scanner, printer, mini digital camera etc

there must be someway to do this, thanks



(please dont just say buy i new one - i dont want to)

Yes, no, maybe ... impossible to answer.

What computer & OS do you use, what hardware (make & model) are you trying to run?
Are they compatible with Ms Windows you're using ? If not, you need the update patches.
What sort of hardware are you refering to, is it an old computer? If so what is the spec? An old Pentium PC?

yes they work on windows
i am on windows 7 and i have a compaq presario f500

the hardware varies, packard bell, etc...the dig cam is just a mini one and seems to have to brand name...but it works with photo impression software. (the instructions mention win98)
(i may have the cd somewhere but i cant find it at the moment)

they are all older things ive had from before win7 existed.

its daft that you should have to replace everything just because you upgrade

...again, without EXACT make/model of what you're trying to make work, it's not possible for us to squizz off to the internets and find if there's a driver for you.
You probably need to go to the websites of the various hardware manufacturers and get the driver updates for Win 7.

well the main one is a packard bell scanner, diamond 1200 plus

everything i have tried so far doesnt work...ive found a few that seem to be right but nothing does
