LOL at previous post, but a answer to your question.... HTC Desire HD hands down. All sorts of stuff posted on youtube etc prove that its the better phone.

I'm also inbetween making that decision raelgrin. Which have you got?
Ravingmonkey where did it say the htc was better than the iphone4? There has been a lot of hooha about the htc's lower resolution screen which can't touch the iphones retina display or the Samsung galaxy s's Amoled screen. Also the htc's desires battery is meant to be crap but all smartphones drain battery especially if it has a 4.3 inch monster like the htc dhd which I still might get.

I`m of the opinion that HTC is better than iphone but can you download iphone apps to HTC? (I`m presuming not)

you cannot download iphone apps to the HTC, I have tried both, the htc was rubbish. of course it comes down to personal preference, you would do well to have a good try out of both phones

Can you send an iPhone4 through a full 30 minute Economy wash *without* any impairment ?

237SJ it runs the Android system from what I gather and has it's own apps which heavily outnumber the iphone apps in number and quality from what I've read.
cazzz1975 I know nothing about either phone except what I've read and have not owned a smartphone with touchscreen yet so any advice will be welcomed. Could you just give me a quick pro and con off either phone as Ill be getting one tomorrow but don't know which yet.

If you know nothing about smartphones I would not rush into a purchase, everyone has a different opinion of smartphones, you would be better to spend your time writing down a list of what you expect out of your phone then trying out the phones tomorrow. you may prefer something completely different.

Cazzz1974 I'm up for upgrade and the contract would be 24months so I think I'll go with a smartphone as large touchscreens, superfast internet and ability to personalise your phone and the thousands of apps available is the way forward imho.

Thanks cazz/gadgetfan. I worked with someone recently who had some apps on their iphone which I can only say were incredible. I need to catch up with the 21st century next year and get one of these phones. I`m still a bit undecided between iphone and HTC.
