Photo from phone to laptop

How do I send a photo on my mobile (Nokia 6300) to my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1720)? Nothing in the manual and I don't appear to have any cables to connect phone to laptop. Help would be much appreciated.

the easy way would be to find a standard micro USB cable (the type you get with cameras, mp3 players etc etc) and use that, it's not a special cable in any way.

If not, that laptop should have bluetooth on it, just pair the phone and the laptop and send the pic by bluetooth.

Thanks Chuck. So I do need a cable. I thought there may be way to do it by sending to mobile broadband number and retrieving it from there. Trip to the shops I think! :)

If you have internet on your phone you can email the pic to yourself. The easiest way is bluetooth though.

are you sure you've not got a cable?

as I said, it's not a special cable, it's a standard USB cable of the type that would be supplied with about 80-90% of usb devices such as cameras, mp3 players, sat navs, photo frames...... in fact pretty much anything that plugs into USB at any time.

Karen, don't have internet on phone (well, not set up anyway).

Chuck, the only "socket" I can find on phone is very small (hence the "micro USB" I guess) and the only ones I have are much bigger. Don't have lots of gadgets so I think I will need to get the cable and then experiment.

My aunt has just bought a nokia at Tesco on a 'special offer' and it did not come with any cables.

Buy a bluetooth toggle - they're only a couple of quid on ebay - and bluetooth it to your laptop.
