E mails
12 Answers
I can send E mails but they do not show up in my sent box. I know they have gone as I have had replies.I have tried asking on help and support, but I am 84 and I find it very
difficult to follow the intructions they give. Please can anyone tell me a simple way to correct this problem as it becomes expensive to call out a repair man here.
Many thanks in advance

What people are asking for here is the name of the computer program that you use to access your email account. Some people use a dedicated program (such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Windows Mail or Thunderbird) while other people access their mail through a web page (using Internet Explorer, Firefox or similar). The settings you need to change will probably be somewhere within the relevant program, so we need to know which one it is.

If you're using Outlook Express, the very first post (from NazNomad) above should provide the correct answer. Take another look at it. When you click on Options, you should be presented with a panel like this one:

The 'Send' tab is at the top.
Follow NazNomad's directions.
(If you find that there's already a tick alongside 'Save a copy of sent messages . . . ', click to remove it. Click 'Apply', click 'OK'. Close Outlook Express. Reboot your PC. Open Outlook Express again and go through the same procedure to put the tick back).

It reads from left to right/
General Security Privacy Content Connections Program
I have been having trouble with Virgin at odd times I wonder if they
are at fault. I read in the paper the other day that they had broken down
and some people could not access the net for some days
