Customize Notification...

When i right click on the time in the system tray there is a greyed out option called Customize Notification... does any one know what it does and how i can ungrey it. thanks in advance

When you right click it, select proprties from the list.From the window that pops up tick the item that says `Hide inactive icons' and it will then be ungreyed

ok it doesn't do what i hoped it would, msn messenger style pop up reminders, but thanks anyway

Did you want to stop these notifications? Start button -> run and type regedit. Now browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Current Version -> Explorer -> Advanced. Create an EnableBalloonTips DWORD and set its value to 0 to disable the balloons.

Sorry, i think i misread your question. My previous post stops the speech bubble-y thing popping up when you connect t'internet. If you have MSN, go to Tools -> options -> general (on the left). There you can decide whether MSN logs on and displays the home page thing.
