Recording you tube video

Is there any way of saving or recording a video off you tube? I can record sound with Audacity but how do you do a video? I cannot see any way on the site itself but surely there is a way?

I use VDownloader. It's free and works very well.

Excuse if I but in, but can one then alter the file format so that one can download it onto a DVD disc, to play on one's DVD player?

Aog, VDownloader gives you options to save as different formats, so I don't see any problems with burning to DVD.
