Circumflex Accent

Does anyone know how to place a circumflex accent over a letter using the keyboard without using an ALT + numerical combination? The reason I ask is that Welsh sometimes has a circumflex over w and y, neither of which are catered for by ALT.

Method 1:
Prepare your text here, typing normally but clicking on the relevant Welsh characters as required. (Then copy and paste to where you want the text to appear):

Incidentally, CTRL + ^ followed by the letter does not seem to work on my PC.

Are you forgetting that the caret symbol is shifted? If you're just holding down the Ctrl key and hitting the key with the caret symbol on it, that key combination is Ctrl-6. Don't forget to hold down the Shift key at the same time as the Ctrl key.

Of course, that was not made clear in the link. In effect the only way is to copy and paste from Word using Insert Symbols.

If your computer is online when you're typing, I still think that my first method is the easiest way to do it!
