Is there a socket with a headphone symbol?

Not on the tv anywhere. There is a tiny panel at the side but doesn't look as if it should be opened but will ask Mr N to have a look when he comes home.
Is there a little (almost hidden) flap on the front or side that covers the sockets?
that will be of no use to you for headphone on there own, that would let you connect the TV to an amplifier.

you could use it with a small headphone amplifier though.
