Who is responsible?
47 Answers
I did a dark wash today (blacks navy's etc) afterwards on taking them from the machine I noticed everything was covered in white bits (paper tissue) which my H tells me he left in his jeans pocket.
Now my Q is - who is responsible for emptying pockets before stuff goes in the machine?
I say he should empty his pockets before putting stuff in the basket, He says its me that should check his pockets.
When the kids were kids I always checked their pockets but I expect a grown man to do his own. Grrrr!!

But he's been retired for some time now.
I suppose its my own fault really I spoilt him back then.
Sherr, I've been caught out like that too with pants turning out a nice shade of battleship grey.

Yelenots, do you live in my house? This half sleeved jumper business drives me mad, and how can you wash a sock in a ball (or worse, when he comes in from work and offloads the boot of his car into the washing machine, how can you wash a pair of socks in a ball)?
I do always check now, if it's me that's loading, since I washed his passport a long time ago....
Mind you he thinks I'm a bad preparer too since I often put mugs and stuff in the washing basket, on their way downstairs.
I'll give him his due, he can sort out when it's washed, he knows what'll tumble and what won't.

I have to admit my husband has acquired pink pants (quite sweet I thought) in the past - and a pink collar to a blue rugby shirt. Not his choice, of course, and binned immediately - but he has. I can't help thinking that odd paper tissue left in a pocket may be ........... dare I say it?
In present company .... coward that I am ... probably not. :o)
