Glary registry repair

I saw Glary registry repair recommended on here recently, how safe is it and is it free?

However the general rule with registry cleaners is to only use them if you really have to. If you do choose to use a registry cleaner, the most popular one (by far) is CCleaner:

I've been using Glary Utilities (which includes a Registry Cleaner, probably the same one) for the last few years and it has never resulted in any problems.

Why do you need to repair your registry?
You could wind up with a broken computer if you use one of these programs and have no idea what you are doing.
