Just paid for a couple of book downloas from audiobooks.co.uk but when i try to open them it says Windows cannot open files with aa ext what must I do to listen to them please

aa files are Audible's file format for their books, it's designed mainly to be played on portable devices like kindles and ipods.

Audible's own manager software will play them on your computer.

As usual you're a star Chuck, one question ! in set up of Audibles. Choice of portable device I-pod doesn't appear which is my method of listening what is the bst thing to choose please
Sorry, you didn't say you have an ipod, Itunes should support the playback and management of AA files just the same as it does normal MP3 files, so you can use that instead.

Just import the file into Itunes and then you can transfer it to the ipod just as you would a music file.
