I've an old Denon cassette player (Mod dr-m12hx) is there any gadget I
can get to put between the Denon and the pc to record my music
The only connections on the Denon are (Line in r-l) and (Line out r-l) and the headphone outlet I use

get one of these leads

Connect the line out from the tape to the line in on your PC and then you can use audacity to record

OH and you could get two of the leads and use the second one to connect the speaker/line out on your pc to the amp, but to be honest I can't see the point and it would mean you could only ever listen to tapes with your PC turned on.
Easier to just change the lead over as needed, you'll be able to monitor what you're recording through your computer speakers.
