Bluetooth and USB are very similar in as much as they are both a way of tranfering information from one place to another. Cost wise, you could pay about the same price for a a specific USB cable for you mobile phone as you could for a generic Bluetooth aerial (dongle). Mobile phones however aren't shouldn't be used with wire hanging out of them and by nature are designed to be mobile. Thats where Bluetooth comes into it's own. Whilst it may take longer to tranfer your photos by Bluetooth than USB (and we're talking seconds longer not minutes) you can transfer your photos whilst sitiing in your armchair or whilst in bed, not sitting at your PC. john's answer is a bit alarmist and whereas you could pay anywhere up to 50 (I'll sell you one for 100 if you want) you're more likely to pay about 10 as dougie says. At the end of the day it's horses for courses but if you ever change your phone you will have to buy a new USB cable to go with it. Whereas a Bluetooth dongle will work with your new (Bluetooth equipped of course) phone, digital camera, PDA, SCART socket, headphones, mouse, keyboard etc etc etc
