i have a samsung genio touch and the last few days ppl have been getting the switched off tone when they call and messages have been delayed by hours and some haven't even been recieved.
does anyone know to a firmware update or flash available for this phone, i tjink its a firmware issue more than a network issue.

This is not samsung official firmware, but I have used the firmware from here on several samsung phones and it works fine (often better than the official firmware) but you use it at your own risk.

The latest firmware is dated 2010 September

You'll probably have to register with the site to get to it but it's free, make sure you get the European firmware too, the Asian models often have different hardware.

thanx chuck, i'll download and install it later tonight.
as long as it works for 5 weeks without problems i'm not fussed.
