Hello again...............I enquired a couple of days ago about the charging of Cordless Phones.

I read on line that Cordless Phones are not safe........Radiation emmission etc.
Good gracious my new phone gets delivered today.
Should I worry ???????
Advice please.

You can read online that just about everything in the world is unsafe in some way. (or if you read the daily mail most things give you cancer)

It's surprising the entire human race hasn't keeled over and died with all these unsafe things surrounding us!

Cordless phones are far safer than wired ones during a thunderstorm.

Just depends if you want your 'death by telephone' to be slow or fast really.

all phone calls are scanned by"some authority " anyway for anti terrorist activity ,comps do it not humans apparently picking out "suspect words"

why not make a 'phone with a remote control (or has someone already done it) then you could leave it on permanent loud speaker & leave it on the other side of the room,or in another room or better still next door.

Cordless phones and microwave ovens emit microwave radiation, as well as cell phones, antennas, wireless computers, and Wi-Fi. Most cordless phones operate at the exact same frequency as a microwave oven. These frequencies range from 300 MHz to 300 GHz.

So what makes it so dangerous?

These microwave radiations that carry bits and pieces of data from our wireless gadgets also carry with them a wave of destruction.

To start with, the microwave oven emits two types of radiation. These are the microwaves or high frequency radio waves, and the 60Hz magnetic fields found in most appliances. The door of the microwave is the most dangerous place for microwave leakage. This is quite alarming for those who like to watch the food inside the microwave during cooking. In addition, microwave causes harmful effects on food. Carcinogens, the cancer-causing substances, can be produced, and the leakage of toxic chemicals from the packaging of foods can occur. There may even be destruction of the nutrients in the food that you are about to cook in the microwave.

The cordless phones are no exception. Recent research revealed that they constantly emit high levels of radiation, even when not in use. Standing just a meter away can cause as much danger. These levels only drop to a safe 0.05 volts per meter when you are at least 100 meters away from the phone. If this is the case I should have died about 60 years ago even though I am only just past 40!!!!

5 of us in the family, all have mobiles, all have laptops with WIFI, phone is cordless, Microwave oven is only 10M away in the kitchen!!!! Oh I nearly forgot about the games consoles!!!!!

Oh no, what if next door have got tech in their house!!!!! Think I need to get the whole estate to throw away all TECH.

That's true.
A DECT phone outputs peak of 250mW, a microwave oven, around 800W
Can you spot the significant difference?
In case you can't - a Microwave oven emits around 3,200 times more power than a DECT phone.

Well not really, the stand frequency of DECT phones in Europe is 1.8 GHz, oven frequencies are usually around 2.45 GHz
