If you have Firefox as your browser, why are you downloading Chrome?

Firefox has been playing up lately, and I read good reports about chrome on here squarebear

I couldn't see anything to tell me to do that, on either one. rosy
You need to find the files you've downloaded and doubleclick on them to install the programs. Assuming you d/l using Firefox. Start Firefox, hold down Ctrl+J to open the downloads page, select the one you want to install, right click and select Open

Sorry for the delay in replying Slack Alice, I installed Malware no problem, thanks to you. but can't get Chrome, it just says installation failed, then firefox went down (again) the reason I wanted Chrome in the first place. I got FF back so I think I will leave it for the time being, but thank you very much for your help, and you too Naz Nomad, rosy
You may need to have Firefox closed for Chrome to install correctly, just a thought.
I'm thinking rosyposy's download was corrupt, might need to download it again. Unusual I know, but it happens.

Thank you both again, I will try both suggestions, rosy
