Will my phone work in Caribbean?

I have a (quite old) Pay as you Go 02 mobile. Will it work in the Caribbean for ringing home, or do I have to ring BT to sort this, and if so, what is the phone number? thanks all.

is it tri band?
check the specs on the box or give me the model number and i;ll look ot up, it has to be at least tri-band to work beyond europe
Why do you have to ring BT, O2 is a different comapny.

You've lost me there. OH has gone down the pub with it. Maybe I will take my Orange contract phone instead ... not quite as old as the other one !! We are not too up on these gadgets in our house .. as long as they work, we keep them ..
If you take your Orange contract phone check with Orange customer services that it will work they may need to know
You can also have a 1 month pachage added to your account that will give you better prices ion making and recieving calls whilst away, set that up before you go but make sure they remove it asap when you get back.

Just be aware that the electricity voltage is very low in some Caribbean countries. I found it impossible to charge my mobile in Barbados and it ended up switching itself off!
