Can anyone help with blogging?
12 Answers
Does anyone have a blog using "Blogger"?
Have managed to partially set one up but am stumped - I really - REALLY - don't do technology.
Won't go into further details and bore you all until I find out if anyone can help me please? Thanks.

I have managed to "blog" twice now! and have figured out how to download (or is it upload? ... whatever!) photo's but I can't work out what to do with the "gadgets" bits of the dashboard-thingy.
See, I told you I don't do technology.
I'd like to add other blogs that I am "following" and actually thought I had done so but, nope, they don't appear to be there.
Now, are you sitting down for this bit? I have, er, kinda "lost" my blog and don't know where to find it let alone force my family and friends into becoming followers - I am drifting around out there in cyberspace and am quite lost at the moment. I did lose myself a while ago but managed to find my blog again but have no idea how or what I did.
See my problem?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated ... apart from quit blogging!

Oh but I do MarkRae!!!! Well, maybe not the general public but other likeminded crafters ... alas, I am a crafter.
Have hesitated for a very long time about putting my work up for show and even now question why I feel the need ... I tell myself it is for critique but think I would be gutted if someone said it was rubbish. There's honesty for you.
Maybe I am better off lost in cyberspace ... I'm a Facebooker so can bore everyone there posting photo's of my efforts. Just few of my FB friends are crafters so they think what I do is absolutely fabulous darling whereas fellow crafters might be more constructive. OR have me reaching for the tissues.

Sounds like you need a website rather than a blog...
Blogs have their place, of course. A great example is when a band on tour blogs after each gig with things like how the venue was, what the sound was like, how enthusiastic the crowd was, etc. But the thing about that is that a popular band will have a dedicated following who will be genuinely interested in that information.
What's the size of your target audience?

I've used blogger quite a few times... must admit I struggled along with it, and it really was trial and error.
The thing I've found it most useful for is selling items on ebay. If I have an item that warrants really high quality images... eBay will charge plenty to post lots of images with an auction, and they wont give great detail. What I do is load the images to Blogger, and then put a link in the auction to blogger. Therefore I dont need to pay eBay for the privilege, and the images will be of an amazing quality.

This was one image of a £4000 downhill bike that I sold last year.... eBays image quality would'nt have done justice to it.
So yes Blogger can be good, but you just have to persevere.
