Sony Vaio
Sony is one of the world's largest media conglomerates. It is a leading manufacturer of electronics, video, communications, video game consoles, and information technology products for the consumer and professional markets. Some of the most well known products from the company are PlayStation, Walkman, Bravia, Trinitron and Vaio.
Sony’s roots go back over half a century to 1946 when it was founded by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita. The two men made their living repairing radios and manufacturing small numbers of voltmeters whilst looking to develop a future in designing and manufacturing new electronics. The Sony brand is synonymous with build quality and performance.
The Vaio brand was created in 1998 to distinguish items that encompassed the use of consumer audio and video, as well as being conventional computing products. One example of this was the Sony VAIO W Series personal computer, which functioned as a regular computer and a miniature entertainment centre. Many VAIO models feature power-saving technology, such as powering down the screen while listening to music.
Many VAIO models are available in a series of finishes and vibrant colours that reflect users personality and style. Each model can be enhanced to a customer’s own individuality through a range of tailored accessories.
