Liverpool Hotel ...........

Can anyone recommend a decent (not OTT expensive though) hotel in Liverpool - will need to be near train station (Lime St) for dropping off and collecting luggage on was to/from train please - prefer personal experience rather than links to websites as I have looked at them all already!

We recently stayed in Adelphi and found it satisfactory and next door almost to Lime Street. Prices were from £29 on laterooms.com. Might be worthwhile to pay bit more for an upgrade if you want bit more comfort but very central

Thanks Marcra .... I had looked at the Adelphi .....although you seem to have found much better prices than I have been able to find - will keep looking!

The Liner Hotel is right next to Lime Street. Or I have stayed in the Ibis opposite Albert Dock, it doesn't cost much in a taxi to get there.

No I haven't, but I have considered it. It looks decent though, and is right next to Lime Street station. Very handy for the Empire aswell.
