Trump Continues In His Dictatorship...

I turned the telly on to watch the 2pm news. On three news channels there is a camera trained on the door to Lancaster House and we’re treated to a procession of people arriving there. Each of them is greeted at the door by the Prime minister with handshakes, hugs and kisses, then the customary posing for the cameras before they are led inside for a coffee or something stronger.
This is billed as “breaking news”. How on Earth is it news at all, let alone “breaking”.
On the tickertape below, the Secretary-General of NATO, Mark Rutte, is said to have posted on X: “Europe is ‘really stepping up’ at the London summit and that he feels ‘very positive.’” Is the very fact that they've pitched up enough to secure his optimism?
I’ve just seen Mr Trudeau arrive for the third time and Mrs Von der Leyen for the fourth. Are they taking them in the front door and out the back to go round again?
No link because you can watch it on all channels and will be treated to a re-run in every news bulletin for the rest of the day.
Is this really “news”?
