Iv got 2000 4 me and my boyfriend to go away. Thats for flight, accomodation, and spending money for one. But you wouldn't belive how difficult it is knowing where to go! Im bored of travel agent sites, as they dont show anywhere different ie tennerife. We did the whole disney thing last year and as much as we loved it, I wouldnt mind seeing something different.
If you are in the London area there is a big holiday exhibition at Earls Court at the end of next week - loads of the more specialist travel operators will be there and you might see something that catches your fancy.
We have two weeks booked Alll inclusive in Domincan Republic for 649 each last week in march 1st week in April. Never been there before but was as bored with the usual stuff as you seem to be. With that price you struggle to get a decent break in the canaries.
I can thoroughly recommend Barbados - brilliant climate, they all speak good english and are very friendly, its safe late at night its bloody brilliant. And if you go, and you stay anywhere near Hastings, go on a day trip with Teds Tours (Ted is a hoot!) best day we had!
Get yourself to either India or Sri Lanka. Fantastic experience in both culture and sights. Sri Lanka is the most beautiful place for scenery, and wildlife. The elephant orphanage at Pinnewala is a wonderful place, as are the tea plantations in the cooler part further north. India is so vast you can do practically anything you want from seeing tigers, mountains, palaces, cultural life or even chill out on the beaches. Go for it.......
Why not try Guernsey in the Channel Islands as many visitors keep going back year after year .
