Don't miss Lion's Gate Park and Bridge (take you camera!). Be sure to take the foot tour of Robson Street (a few years ago it was called Robsonstrasse, because of the dramatic international flavor)... Best of luck!
Montreal is beautiful, loadsof nice things to see and do. Ottawa is also lovely. For all its tatty surroundings, Niagara Falls is unmissable, especially a ride in the 'Maid of the Mist' boat. And find some time for a trip to one of the 'Tim Hortons' chain of doughnut shops (more prevalent in northern areas of Canada) and just make your way through the donut/bagel/soup menu...
Hi MiniN
We have just come back from working in Canada for 6 months.
Started off in vancouver for a week (the holiday before we had to find jobs ).
We did the big bus tour just to get our berrings, which is pretty good as you can jump on and off on the way.
As we had already planned to travel to Banff to find work we stumbled on a tour company called Moose tour/Trip and it only cost us $300 each it was a great experience, 6 days from vancouver to banff stopping off every night in hostels or b&b,s . (Which are all really clean and tidy and safe other wise Moose tours would loose there reputation )
Try looking at www.moosenetwork.com
You will meet some fantastic people and see some out of this world sights i.e Driving through the Rocky mountains, Emerald lake, Lake louise........
Let me know how it goes minin
peace out.

Vancouver is nice though rainy. You can go up into the Rockies to see beautiful scenery - Lake Louise and other places like Japser... then down on to the plains to Calgary... take a train across to the east coast maybe: Quebec and Montreal, both French-speaking, Toronto and Niagara... then out to the Atlantic states, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Labrador... In 3 months you should actually be able to see plenty. You could even get to the Klondike where the great gold rush was (in the far west), or up to Hudson Bay to see polar bears. Very big country and mostly empty.
