I was in Thailand (Phuket) last November and weather was great, only ever rained at night. Has anyone been in October? The monthly average rainfall appears a fair bit higher but does it mainly fall at night also? Im going on 20th October this year.

The rainy season ends in November. It is a bit of a lottery in October, but typically rains for 2 hours during the day. Some days it doesn't rain at all, others for longer. It does rain at night as well.

Sorry to be so vague, in the good old days you could set your watch to the weather in Thailand, but no longer.

Thanks for your answer. Is it a case of sporadic showers throughout the day, or rain constantly for about two hours?
Normally it is raining pretty solidly for 2 hours, and then stops as suddenly as it starts.
