Hotel in Dudley

Does anyone know of a cheap hotel/b&b/pub to sleep at, near the bus station in Dudley? I would rather not pay more than 25 but realise this might be unrealistic.

And the Ward Arms Hotel which is just as expensive but truly awful.
There is no other accommodation near to the bus station.

The accommodation page of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (which is the source I used for my previous suggestions) lists B&Bs for each of the different areas administered by the council. However, for Dudley itself, there is just one B&B listed for the whole town. It's only got one double room and one single room, so you can see that not a lot of people want to stay in Dudley! (However, at 25 pppn, it's within your budget).
The B&B is here:
http://www.dudley.gov.uk/sys_upl/templates/PT_ Directory/PT_Directory_details.asp?esLtr=ALL&I temId=131994&action=Display&pgid=4490&tid=150& DirectoryKeywords=&CategoryID=26&Q312=Dudley&O rderDir=ASC&OrderFld=
The location is 1 miles from the bus station. If you need to plan a route, go to Multimap and enter DY2 7AD for the location of the bus station, and DY1 3DA for the B&B.
Searching under the category for 'Hotels, Inns & Guesthouses' doesn't bring up much either. (the few places offered are either too far out or too expensive). The best option is probably the Cottage B&B at the Lamp Tavern pub. It's 0.7 miles (10-15 minutes walk) from the bus station, but it's 35 per night (according to the council website)

Now JB's I would not go into... I am generally not that into places where you have to clean your shoes on the way out.
The saracens is quite good, if you want to take the p*ss out of chavs. Full moon is good for getting drunk cheapily with the old boys, The best pub probably has to be the Fellows.
Anyway, I would still rather go for a night drinking in Dudley than to the waterfront. I feel I am too old to go there now I am over 20. LOL!!!!
Oh and Dudley has the friendliest people.... except for the white lightning drinkers in the bus station maybe!!!

I love JB's! apart from the 16 year olds, but you get them in all clubs. I'd rather go there and drink beer out of a plastic "glass" than go to the snooty bars full of chavs on the waterfront!
That said, I'm not originally from Dudley, and I've never been keen on the place. it is a bit of a dump, and i never go to the town itself. I live pretty close to Merry Hill, and its much easier to go there.
