IAP -I had the pleasure of visiting Canada once and you are sp right in your desruption of that wonderful country.
Had a weekend in Tornoto -amazing the stayed in St.Catherines -had a trip to Niagara -it was awesome -it was so tacky driving in -just miles and what seemd miles of 'honeymoon' motel (loved it tho) then there was the post of gold at the end of the rainbow -the falls -absolutely magnificent -I was too much of a kiff to go on the 'Maid of the Mist' -kicking myself now.
Away to rake my photies out in a wee while for a trip down memory lane.
Niagara Falls are awesome I was there a few
years ago in January {Visiting Family} The
Falls were sllighty frozen because of the very cold winter weather but they were still spectacular, because of the weather the Maid of
the Mist was out of action, but we hope to
return sometime and go out on it! Enjoy your trip!
Went on Maid of the Mist twice in two days, first time with coach tour at end of "leaf-peeping" tour, and then following day with American relatives who had come to see us in Niagara. Hadn't the hear to tell them of previous trip.
Enjoyed both trips, but took no photographs.

Yes you do get very wet. The waterproof capes are not much use. You still get very wet feet and if you try to keep the hood on to keep your head dry (it is quite windy near to the water) the water goes down your arm and soaks you as well. I tried to take photos in the mist but mist was all I got. You can get some good shots of the rainbow bridge if the sun is out.
thank you keh .I shall take my own water proofs then I got them with a prize last year they are full length but they are bright white so I think Mrs DP and I will stand out a little . But better than been soaked
if you've got a small camera you should be able to snap quickly and then put it away again. It's not as if the whole trip is right under the falls; parts of it are dry.
that looks amazing pickle. DP have a fantastic time. Tilly and I are going on 8th October to New York (searching for cheap accommodation right now), then up to Niagra and back on the Queen Mary 2 to Southampton.
