Turkey hotel in October

Can anyone assist?? My wife and I are looking to go to Turkey in October. We are trying to find a hotel by the sea, and preferably an adult only only hotel. (not too essential though!) The only other requirement is that it is within walking distance of restaurants bars etc. Last year we stayed at the Marhaba Palace Port El Kantoui Tunisia and this was perfect as it was a 10 min walk to the marina and restaurants etc. If we are unable to find a hotel in Turkey that ticks the same boxes we are thinking of returning there. Also, what is the weather like in October?

Take a look at the Kalkan area of Turkey. It's a bit more pricey than some parts but we holidayed there in 2008 and had a great time - Kalkan is full of super restaurants and the whole resort being quite steep doesn't tend to attract quite so many families so definitely has a more adult feel about it.

We go to Kusadasi , fly into Izmir and take a taxi into the town which takes about 45/50 minutes. October weather is quite nice as long as you go early October as by November it starts to get cold. I have been there in October many times. Is October the only time you can go? I can recommend many hotels on the sea front and reasonable. Would you be interested in a luxury apartment ? . I can recommend a nice one which is very central and within walking distance of restaurants and bars. It is on the 5th floor with lift which stops at your door.Bus stops outside if you don't feel like the walk. We have been to many parts of Turkey but Kusadasi is by far our favourite and we go up to 4 times every year. The apartment is overlooking the Marina and you can watch the cruise liners come and go from the balcony. We love that!!! It is usually cheaper to book flight and accommodation separetly. Cars can be hired at airport for about 25 euro per day. or in the town if you just want a car for a day or two. You can visit many places of interest while there and if the Mrs likes shops and markets she will definately love it there!!!
