can anyone say what the weather is likely to be like in Lanzarote over the Christmas and New year period?

I know it will be warmer than here because of where it is but does it get cold at nights?
Just want to know what we should be taking

The weather statistics for Las Palmas is generally representative of of all coastal areas of the Canary Islands. So you can expect typical daytime temperatures of around 21C, falling to about 15C overnight. However the record highs are around 30C, with the record lows around 8C. Both January and December have about 8 wet days in each month. The Canaries can be quite windy in the winter months:

tends to be a tad warmer and sunnier in the south of all the Canaries, I think, as winds and clouds come from the north
