Where's the best faraway type holiday to go to in September?

I'm looking to go somewhere a bit futher afield than normal and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of places to go, an all inclusive relaxing holiday with a couple of excursions maybe and good weather with long sunshine hours. Can anyone help please? thanks :-)

Trouble is, it`s rainy season in a lot of places in September. Mauritius or Seychelles might be a possibility.

thanks :-) probably a bit too expensive for me.... i'm trying to avoid school holidays, but wouldn't mind going June time if i can book for then, any ideas?

In June Dubai and places like that will be too hot. The Caribbean is smack in the middle of the hurricane season. It`s monsoon in India and the Indian Ocean. North Africa is quite unpredictable. A colleague of mine wanted to go somewhere in June and has ended up in Tahiti becuase that`s the only place where the weather is nice!
That leaves Europe. I`m not very familiar with holiday spots in Europe but Cyprus is nice. I expect Turkey and the Greeks Isles would be OK too.

Sri Lanka might be worth looking at - September is the rainy season but we went then and it wasn't too bad.

You can get some decent all inclusive deals at various beach hotels and they will often be able to organise excursions for you locally.

I love Turkey cheap cigs/loads-a-shopping/great food/welcoming people/sporty activies. 3* bb apartments are better value than 5* hotels.

Cyprus would be fantastic in September, still lovely and hot but not silly temperatures!

To one person normal could be Southport .. to another it could be South America..!

I went to Cuba in May several years ago and it was wonderful we might have been lucky with the weather as it was lovely then.
As others have said Cyprus is a great place to holiday we have a couple of wonderful holidays there.

I went to Bali for a month in September 2008 and loved it, quite far to go and not cheap but a beautiful destination.
