This is what the govt have to say on moving home: https:/ /www.go v.uk/gu idance/ nationa l-lockd own-sta y-at-ho me#movi ng-home
The only 2 problems i can forsee are the following: The reasons for staying away from home overnght DO include for moving house, but dont appear to include for visiting potential homes. Are you willing to get somewhere without seeing at and the local area?
secondly, unless you and your husband are doing the entire move yourself, you cant ask friends to help, although you can get movers

I don't see why not. The legislation says a person can leave home in order to "prepare a residential property to move in" and for "moving house." It doesn't say those restrictions are limited to the people actually moving. Most people need assistance when moving house and if the legislation permits a house move then it will permit anything that goes with it. The overriding provision is that you can leave home if you have a "reasonable excuse." The list provided is not exhaustive and helping somebody else with what is a huge task, seems perfectly reasonable.
Although I've read it a number of times I don't recall seeing anything specific in the legislation preventing one from staying away at night. If you are away from home for a legally permitted reason (and "visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices or show homes" and "viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or to rent" are among the legal reasons) then I see no reason why you cannot remain away from home overnight. So long as you don't "gather" with anybody outside your own household I see no problem. That said, this is the first time I've thought this through so I may not have covered all the angles.
