Either:-
1 Terravision bus A51 to Bromley-by-Bow, District Line to West Ham & train to Basildon, or
2 Train to Liverpool Street, Hammersmith City line to West Ham & train to Basildon, or
3 Bus X30 to Chelmsford & bus 100 to Basildon.
all 3 journey options take about 2 hours. Note you can't buy tickets on the Bus A51.

many tks for help, I suggested :-
coach from Stansted to Stratford[London] station---overhead train one stop Stratford to Liverpool St.
black cab to Fenchurch St then train to Basildon
not sure coming from Glascow they would find their way to West Ham via underground.
is there a bus that goes from Stratford bus station to West Ham station, that would solve all their problems ?
