Where can I find a group of people to go on holiday with?

As most of you know I am currently single, so can not go on holiday with a partner, but would like to go on holiday either to the U.S.A. or to a resort like Magaluf for the holiday of a lifetime. This would be very expensive, and not much fun to do alone, so would like to know where to find a like minded group of people to go on holiday with. We could organise an AnswerBank holiday, but not sure all of you would like to go on holiday together, and we would not all have the same time off for a start.

Any ideas as to where I could find like minded adults for an adult fun-filled holiday?

As usual thanks for any replies.

Try Solo Holidays. If you have a hobby such as horse riding, walking, sailing etc it`s easy to find holidays. Most of the people on specialist hobby holidays are on their own because they don`t have a partner or friends who share their interests.
get some real life friends?
That`s a bit harsh bednobs. It`s not always as simple as that.
Several of my friends have been on Solos (separately), they really enjoyed it http://www.solosholidays.co.uk/
i know. I'm sure JB can take it tho - after all he's quite good at giving it out :)
excuse me jb, bednobs are you well ?
This site appears to be US-based but it has featured in articles and reviews by the BBC, the Guardian, Web User magazine and other reliable UK sources:

My friends has been on holiday with "Just You" which is run by Travelsphere, and she couldn't recommend it more highly, She's been to USA and Borneo with them and would still opt for travelling alone with them over pairing up with a friend who might not share interests enough for a long haul trip. http://www.justyou.co.uk/.
put an advert on gumtree....lots do it

Yes, I can take it, as I am usually the first to make a joke. I do actually have friends in real life, but they do not want to go on holiday to the same place as me, and as I say they do not have the same time off as me either. Thanks for your suggestions, folks, will look at the sites you mentioned for me.
the solo golf holidays look good :)
Sorry Jonnyboy..you lost me at 'expensive'
Explore do great trips and have many single people. I have travelled with them, they are reasonable and well run. You can opt to share a room to keep the cost lower. I'm not single but I have made good friends on some of these trips who are.
Magaluf is a once in a lifetime holiday. If you have been there once. You would not want to go again.
