Dislike cities
London, just had a wonderful day out at the British Museum, cost £0, lived 10+ years in Singapore, still vote for London. Nowhere else can you access so much art, architecture, drama, music etc. and so much is free, enjoy it!
DT, did you have the pleasure of being in the dentist`s chair in the China Jump club having booze poured down your throat?
done that but the last time was in Calgary in the Cowboy Club with a mouth made Margarita......
I must give a big thumbs up for Tokyo, really love it and I am looking forward to going back again this year:)
Otherwise they didnt do that in the HK Directors Club.......! (maybe they should have)
Vancouver
San Francisco
Sydney
Cape Town
Barcelona

Worked or lived in all of them.
Tokyo was intriguing - in the sense that the fim Lost in Translation (Sophia Coppola dire/Bill Murray) really captured the essence of the city.....and the all the kow-towing.

However, one senses that there is a very dark undercurrent......
Sidney
Venice
London
Edinburgh
We were told off the by the manager of the China Jump for trying to fiddle the drinks on their ladies night. He caught us giving our drinks to the boys. I think the club has gone now. Not sure if Joe Bananas is still there. HK isn`t quite the same anymore.
I havn't been abroad much, and of all the cities I've been to I loved Carlisle because the people were so friendly.
I havent been back for a few years - my last trip to the FEast was Tokyo and environs, and before that it was Sing, which felt a bit run down in compariosn to its heyday - though I always much preferred HK.

Sing - "its a fine city, they fine you for anything"
DT Singapore is anything but rundown now. They seem to have built a new skyscraper every time you go there. It`s ok for a visit but sterile.
Going back to HK though, there is one thing that hasn`t changed. The people still walk into you! Why do they do that?
Barcelona
Lisbon
Alicante
Chester
Granada
because there are so many of them and they walk at 2 mph and you walk at 4pmh....

hope the American Restaurant is still going and the Szechuan Lau both in Wanchai.....
glasgow
1 Lisburn
2 Newry
3 Derry
I think perhaps I'd give Japan/Tokyo a miss this year e.crespo. Glowing in the dark is not on my list of things to do.
I don`t know. I tend to stick to Causeway Bay. It is quite hard to find somewhere to eat in HK now that has recognisable food on the menu. It`s hard to find a nice little place that does stir fry and rice. Everything is in Chinese now so you can only look at the pictures and Christ knows what you are eating. The only American places I can see are McDonalds and KFC and the locals are starting to eat that rubbish.
