Trains from Chelmsford to Liverpool Street

I understand that there are a number of morning trains which actually commence at Chelmsford, thus more chance of getting a seat. Now I know I could just go to the station and ask but....I am at home. Any trusty commuters out there who can tell me of a train which will arrive before 7.50 at Liverpool Street but starts in Chelmsford.

I'm not so sure there are any trains that start at Chelmsford.

Chelmsford is just two lines right the way through with no depot facilities, so any train at Chelmsford has to come from somewhere else.

From personal experience I can tell you I've never seen a train with a free seat in Chelmsford at that time.

chelmsford starters leave there at 07h49, 08h09 and 08h27 which i believe are probably too late for you.

the 06h29 starts from witham, as does the 07h40.

otherwise, all chelmsford stoppers are likely to be full before they get to you.

OK, I was always earlier than the chelmsford starters then :)

I used to be on the Witham starters occasionally (though I was changing there from Braintree) and they were always pretty full at Chelmsford and most people who got on there wouldn't get a seat.
